Canton festival to feature tacos and hip hop

The Tacos & Tequila Music Fest will be taking place in Canton this May, putting on a Cinco de Mayo party with some iconic rappers on the bill.

The festival will be headlined by Flo Rida, the prolific Southern rapper best known for hits like “Low,” “Club Can’t Handle ME”, and “My House.” Twista and Ginuwine, two veterans of the hip-hop scene, will also be performing. Rounding out the musical bill will be Lil Rob and DJ Skribble. The music will be complimented by premium tacos and other Mexican cuisine, as well as cervezas and tequilas, with food trucks and stands representing local restaurants.

Mexican culture will also be represented through the high-flying action of Lucha Xtreme Wrestling, a company which often participates in festival events like this. The festival is returning to Canton after being held in Frisco on Cinco de Mayo weekend last year, also featuring iconic hip-hop artists and Latin flavours.

Events like this often use methods like sign and banner printing to help add an additional visual touch to the festival grounds. This year’s Tacos & Tequila will also be part of a larger Cinco de Mayo Festival held in the area, which includes a Chihuahua Fest family event and a Mercado Market with local shopping.

The 2025 Tacos & Tequila Music Fest in Canton will take place at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium on May 3.
