Canton brewery reopens with beer garden

The Trillium Brewing chain has reopened its three locations in the Boston area, including one in Canton, for both curbside pickup and a weekend “beer garden” experience.

The brewery has partnered with local food trucks to create an outdoor dining experience in Canton. Food will be provided by Naco Taco on Thursday and Friday, providing tacos and tortas, and Keane’s wood-fired barbecue on Saturdays and Sundays. Contactless pick-up is also available from Wednesday to Sunday. Like other micro-breweries, Trillium provides an assortment of specialty brews with unusual flavors like Bianca Guava Mango Lassi Gose, Cacao PM Dawn, and Fated Farmer Black Muscat & Malbec, alongside more traditional tastes. Small breweries like these have used event spaces alongside attractive graphic design to compete against larger outfits.

The Canton location of Trillium Brewing is just one of the chain’s Massachusetts locations that re-opened this month. The Fenway brewery opened to coincide with the Red Sox home opener, with the Fort Point restaurant and brewery following suit a day later. Plans are in the works for Trillium’s beer garden on the Rose Kennedy Greenway to re-open in May. Canton may also be home to a second Trillium location soon, with the Blue Hills identified as a likely spot.

Canton’s Trillium Brewery and beer garden re-opened on April 1, and the partnership with Naco Taco and Keane’s is set to last until October 3.
