The Princess Run, a yearly run-walk race held in Canton, is scheduled for the William McKinley Presidential Library and Museum later this month.
Miller Weldmaster, which has its headquarters in Navarre, Ohio, and operates a facility in Canton, is actively involved in the community, and may of its employees will be participating in the race.
The race is a relatively new event, having begun in 2013 in memory of Eva Marie Gallagher, who supported the concepts of nutrition, running, and personal wellbeing as part of a healthy lifestyle. The Princess Run began as a local Canton event, and has now begun to draw participants from across the region. Money raised by the event goes to the Eva Marie Gallagher Memorial Fund, as well as ‘Climb for a Cause’ and ‘Operation Smile’, which are dental charities.
Gallagher believed strongly in physical fitness, and maintained a rigorous and dedicated schedule of fitness activities, which led to her interest in nutrition and running. She passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2013, at the age of 30. The race honors her memory as well as helping the charities she believed in.
The Princess Run will take place August 16, 2015, which is a Sunday. Race organizers might work with a banner printing company to create festive Banners to mark the start and finish lines, as well as helping to celebrate the event itself.Get a Free Quote for Banners
