Curtis Instruments of Mt. Kisco recently beat out 10 other teams to win the ‘Golden Scoop’ trophy at the annual Golden Scoop Corporate Competition of the Food Bank for Westchester.
The contest is held by the Food Bank to raise money and awareness for the 265 programs that feed the hungry in Westchester. The goal is for teams to have one hour to take the most bulk food and repack it into deliverable packages at the Elmsford Distribution Center of the Food Bank. Food pantries, adult and child daycare centers and shelters, and soup kitchens then receive these packages.
The 11 teams in the competition repacked 27,770lb of rice, with Curtis Instruments leading the way by managing 3,446lb. Stop & Shop came in second with 2,854lb, and AQR Capital Management finished a close third with 2,846lb. The Food Bank may turn to a local Print company to create Flyers and other materials announcing the outcome of this competition and how it enables each company to give back to the community with an activity that benefits the hungry families, children, and seniors of Westchester County.
At the Tappan Hill Mansion tomorrow, the Hunger Heroes Awards Breakfast takes place and Curtis Instruments will walk away with the coveted trophy for their efforts. The event is held every year by the Food Bank.Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Flyers
