Mt. Kisco serves as focal point for toy drive

New, unwrapped toys can now be donated by residents of Westchester County.

The annual Operation Blue Santa Toy and Gift Drive is being run by the Westchester County Police Department (WCPD) and led by the WCPD Cadet Program. There are many locations for dropping off toys that include the Mt. Kisco Precinct, WCPD Headquarters, Police Academy, Cortlandt Precinct, and the Department of Emergency Services Headquarters.

Additional drop location are the Student Center at Westchester Community College, the Westchester County Office Building on East Post Road, the Michaelian Office Building on Martine Avenue in White Plains, and several facilities in the town of Cortland. Mimi’ Coffee House and Starbucks in Mt. Kisco are private partners participating in this toy drive and offering their shops as drop off locations.

Such sites can benefit from poster printing to promote such drop-off locations and the holiday cheer of the toy drive.

The Westchester County Department of Emergency Services, Community Resource officers, and the Westchester County Police Benevolent Association have collaborated with cadets from Phase 2 Squad to prepare and distribute the toy drop Boxes. At the end of the drive, a team of volunteers and Blue Santa will deliver the gifts to children in need.

Additional support has been provided by the Westchester Building Owners and Managers Association, the Department of Transportation and Public Works, and Westchester Community College.

Toys can be dropped off by Thursday December 12.
