Well-known county park to host job fair

Playland in West Chester County will be holding its first job fair later this month at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.

Those who are retired and want to bring their many years of experience to a new venture, are college students looking for a position over the summer, or are new to the job market, may be interested in this opportunity. No doubt those from nearby Mt. Kisco will be attracted.

The first 300 candidates who arrive at the job fair will be afforded on-the-spot interviews. Some of the positions needing to be filled include IT technicians, mechanics, ride operators, cashiers, and many more. Playland is also looking to hire a junior graphics designer. Seasonal employment at the park runs from April through September.

George Latimer, Westchester County Executive, commented that many people have their first summer job at Playland and have stories about their experiences of helping people to enjoy themselves. He added that every job is important to creating memorable visitor experiences, from those greeting the public as they enter the park, to those behind the scenes who help keep it running.

The job fair will be held this Saturday, January 12 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The use of poster printing could be considered for job fairs such as this one to promote awareness throughout the county.
