Veterans hall of fame celebrates new inductees

No fewer than 17 former members of the armed services were recently inducted into the Veterans' Hall of Fame of Senator Terrence Murphy in Mt. Kisco at the American Legion Post. Among the inductees was a resident of Mt. Kisco.

Murphy commented that veterans should always be remembered and thanked for what they have done for this country as often as possible. He added that they made many sacrifices and endured many more to keep their country safe.

Several other presentations were made, one of which included a recognition of Reverend Steven Clark by Mayor of Mt. Kisco, Michael Cindrich. The mayor recognized him for his service to his country and his dedication to Mt. Kisco, his adopted community.

Director of the Veteran Service Agency for Westchester County, Ron Tocci, spoke about his pride in being a veteran. Senior Vice Commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart and Chairman of the Cortlandt Hudson Valley Veteran's Committee, William "Willy" Nazario, commented about being honored to be among his fellow servicemen and stepping up for Linda Puglisi, Cortlandt Supervisor, because that is the duty of Marines.

In preparation for events like this, Posters can be created by poster printing companies that can be displayed throughout the community, so people will know about veterans and their service to the country.
