Melike Turkish Cuisine is now open on East Main Street in Mt. Kisco, in addition to the first location of the eatery in Ossining.
The owner is Erdal Nehir who learned traditional Turkish recipes at a young age from his father. He then decided to go to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates to improve upon the training he received from his father. After this specialized training, he wanted to open his own restaurant in the United States in the belief that the homemade, natural, and ancient flavors of Turkish cuisine will be enjoyed by those in this country. He named the restaurant after his daughter.
Among the dishes served at Melike Turkish Cuisine are shish kebabs, falafel, stuffed grape leaves, and tabbouleh salad. Among the drinks on the menu are wine and Turkish coffee.
