The Mt. Kisco Lions Club will soon be holding a motorcycle ride through the Hudson Valley, with all proceeds going towards the Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
The ride will begin at the Village Hall in Mt. Kisco, with coffee and donuts served during the registration period from 8:00 am to 8:30 am. The ride itself will begin at 10:00 am, as a police escort takes participants through 75 to 80 miles of the scenic lower Hudson Valley.
After the ride, a barbeque picnic will be held at the Mt. Kisco Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester beginning at noon. In addition to good food, refreshments and ice cream from Nick’s ice cream truck, there will be raffles, music, vendors of novelty items, and other merchandise.
The cost is $25 per rider or $40 for a rider accompanied by a passenger. An event T-shirt will be given to the first 25 riders to pre-register, offering an incentive for riders to get their names down sooner rather than later.
The ride will be held on Sunday, July 26. The Lions Club, perhaps with the help of a local flyer printing company, has created a colorful and attractive flyer to generate enthusiasm in the community for this annual event and draw attention to the fun that can be had while donating to a worthy cause.
