Story sharing workshop to be held in Mt. Kisco

The popular Safekeeping Stories of the Holocaust Workshop will be held at Bet Torah in Mt. Kisco next month. It is being sponsored by the Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center and is designed to allow family members of those who survived the Holocaust to preserve the story of their families’ experiences.

This workshop lasts for eight weeks and is offered in a setting of a small group. The tools of Storykeeping will be taught so that participants will learn about a modern approach to keeping family stories that is easy to use and practical, and offers valuable outcomes.

According to the event listing, those throughout Westchester County who have attended this workshop in the past have found it to be worthwhile and have a profound and meaningful effect on their lives. Debby Ziering will be leading the workshop. Special programs such as this are often promoted throughout the community with poster printing.

The cost for the eight sessions of the workshop is $350 and includes membership to the Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center at the household level. This will enable attendees to have access to additional resources for exploring and preserving the story of their families.

The workshop will begin on Wednesday, February 5 and take place every Wednesday until March 25. Attendees are also expected to spend between 60 to 90 minutes every week working at home.
