A grand opening ceremony was recently held for the new Ianniello Field House at Pace University on the campus in Pleasantville, just a short distance from Mt. Kisco.
A sum of $2m was contributed by Joseph Ianniello, a trustee and alumnus of Pace, and now the chief operating officer of CBS Corporation, for the construction of the new facility. He is a graduate of the Lubin School of Business at Pace and was on the football team.
The Ianniello Field House is 14,010 square feet in size. Among its features are locker rooms for the soccer and lacrosse teams for women, offices for the coaches, a conditioning and strength center for student athletes, and a football locker room.
This is a building that attracts a great deal of traffic on campus, with 25,000 expected visitors per year. All of the coaches and athletes at Pace will use it for gatherings and practice, while visitors and spectators will travel through it to get to the outdoor athletic complex.
According to Stephen J. Friedman, President of Pace University, Joe Ianniello is aware of the great benefit this facility will provide for current and future student-athletes, and its overall contribution to life on campus.
Pace University might benefit from the assistance of a local printing company to inform the community of this new field house and the contributions made by Ianniello to make it possible.
