The Community Living Corporation (CLC) a non-profit organization with headquarters in the Radio Circle Industrial Park in Mt. Kisco has named a new Executive Director.
Announcements of such nature are often made known throughout a community with flyer printing.
Jessica Thomas will oversee the CLC, which offers many kinds of services to over 2,500 people in the area with autism and developmental disabilities and operates 40 residential facilities. The organization has an annual budget of close to $25 million and has 450 employees.
Thomas said she is looking forward to the latest challenges of the CLC and other non-profits working with people with autism and developmental disabilities face. She added that while the clients of the CLC have been hit hard over the past two years, the CLC has become a recognized leader in dealing with these hardships.
Thomas attended SUNY Purchase from which she received a bachelor’s degree and Columbia University from which she earned a master’s degree. She has worked in the field of developmental disabilities since 1998, having served as Deputy Director of Operations and Services at M & K Health Care Services in Middletown and Residential Services Director at Jawonio in New City.
John Porcella of Mt. Kisco, who has been the Executive Director of the CLC for many years and helped to establish the organization 32 years ago, will become the new CEO of the organization.
