The new Lowe’s Home Improvement store, which will be opening in Yorktown this spring, recently held a hiring event to find employees for the store. This location is sufficiently close to Mt. Kisco that many from our town would want to take advantage of this opportunity.
Lowe’s is looking to fill positions as customer service specialists, supervisors, cashiers, and stockers, among others. Those who were interested in the positions need to fill out an application online, after which a representative from human resources interview the most qualified for the respective positions.
Lowe’s has reported that salaries will range from $13 to $30 an hour, depending on the type of position. More managerial positions for such stores may require business card printing.
Chief executive of Breslin Realty Development Corp., the developer of the site, Wilbur Breslin, said the store along with three other buildings on the site was made known to the public last year. Breslin added that it will be worth the wait as residents in the area will have a well-known home improvement store that is easily accessible to the parkway and close to other businesses that have recently opened.
The store is expected to open sometime next month. It will be the second location for the store in Westchester County. There is another Lowe’s store in Yonkers at the Ridge Hill Shopping Center. There are also stores in Nanuet and Orangeburg in Rockland County
