New healthcare center opens near Mt. Kisco

A new and larger healthcare center was recently opened on the Pleasantville campus of Pace University. This facility is sufficiently close to Mt. Kisco that residents of the community would be able to take advantage of such services.

This is in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the first academic healthcare service managed by nurses on a university campus in the United States. It was a novel concept in 1977 when the University Health Center opened its doors to use nurse practitioners – an idea that is now commonplace in primary care.

There is a larger reception area, a procedure room, four exam rooms for patients, and a lab in the new facility, which is 2,000 square feet in size.

A wide range of healthcare services are offered, including ordering lab and radiology tests, prescribing or refilling medications, treating common illnesses, and making referrals to specialty care.

Dean of the College of Health Professions at Pace, Harriet Feldman, said that more patients will be able to be treated in the new facility in a more comfortable setting, with more modern and state-of-the-art treatments available.

Print shops can be hired to create various types of printed materials that can be displayed throughout the campus and sent to alumni in the area, so they will be made aware of such a new facility and its offerings and services.
