A location of Shake Shack has plans to open in Mt. Kisco later this year.
It will be in what was once a Dunkin’ Donuts on N. Bedford Road and will be the only Shake Shack in the area that will be opening this year.
Such sites often rely on banner printing to inform residents of such upcoming establishments.
The signature menu items at Shake Shack are its hamburgers, ranging from the ‘Shroom burger to the SmokeShack and the Black Truffle Stack. It also offers chicken sandwiches and milkshakes. For the holiday season there is a limited-edition menu of the Apple Cider Donut Shake, the Chocolate Yule Log Shake, and the Christmas Cookie Shake.
The design of the building was approved by the Architectural Review Board of Mt. Kisco in September. Andrew Whitelaw, the architect for the owner of the building, said that the plans will update the design of the building to be more modern. Whitelaw said that a new sign will be needed which will also need the approval of the Architectural Review Board.
Whitelaw’s firm will be renovating the exterior, adding a new roof, and replacing sidewalks. After this work is completed, Shake Shack will come in and complete the interior according to its brand. Whitelaw said that Shake Shack could open sometime this summer.
