Mt. Kisco to offer contactless parking payment method

Passport Parking will be coming to Mt. Kisco and offer a cashless approach to paying for parking at a pay station or a meter.

The mobile app will enable motorists to pay for parking at the on-street and off-street spaces in the village, which number over 1,000.

Motorists need to download the app to their phones and then create an account. When they park in the village and need to pay for parking, they enter the zone, which is displayed nearby on a sign and either the number of their space or the parking space number. Then they enter how long they plan to park, after which they can manage their location remotely. Poster printing can be used throughout a community to inform residents of such new ways to pay for parking.

Manage of Mt. Kisco, Edward Brancati, said this new app provides a contactless way to pay for parking. He added that it has many other benefits, including enabling the management of several modes of transportation, reducing complexities in the village’s operations, and better preparing the village for the future.

Sales executive for Passport, Anthony Cadell, said that many other communities in Westchester use this app. He expressed his excitement about helping Mt. Kisco to offer a safe parking choice for its residents and visitors and helping to reduce operational costs for the village.
