The annual Mt. Kisco Photography Exhibit will be opening at Mt. Kisco Public Library next month.
Held in conjunction with the Mt. Kisco Historical Society, the exhibit typically features three categories of photographs – people, culture, and nature. This year, there will be a fourth category of pandemic photos. A slideshow will be created of all the photographs submitted so they can be displayed in the library, as well as online.
The exhibit is made possible by volunteers from the Mt. Kisco Arts Council, the Mt. Kisco Conservation Advisory Council, the Mt. Kisco Historical Society, and MK Tree Preservation Board. To help with the promotion of events, such organizations often work together to hire local Print shops to create Posters and other materials.
The Mt. Kisco Public Library was chartered by the New York State Board of Regents in March 1910. The mission of the Mt. Kisco Historical Society is to keep the heritage of the town alive within and across the community through a comprehensive educational program.
There will be an opening reception featuring music and refreshments on Thursday, October 7 from 5:00 to 6:30 pm, including the presentation of awards. The exhibit will open on Friday, October 1 and continue through Friday, October 29. The exhibit will be in the large meeting room upstairs at the Mt. Kisco Public Library on Main Street.
