Mt. Kisco to become home to old-fashioned market

A new specialized food market, Siegel Bros. Marketplace, is scheduled to open in December in downtown Mt. Kisco, as part of revitalizations efforts in the area.

Siegel Bros. Marketplace will be offering an old-school experience with all-time favorites as well as seafood, cheeses, and an intimate-scale butcher shop with meats sourced from the Hudson Valley.

Brothers Jeremy, Doug, and David Nevins, principal owners of Siegel Bros., say the market will be 2,500 square feet in size and a place where they will know the names of each of their customers.

Some of specially seafood items the market will offer will include octopus and razor clams. There will be a butcher in-house to offer whole-animal butchering.

Cheeses will originate ranging from the Asturias region of Spain, to the Burgundy region of France, to those made in New York State. Doug commented that they will be working together like it was at the turn of the last century.

The arrival of Siegel Bros. will end a year where there have been important developments in Mt. Kisco. The former Borders bookstore space is now home to Modell’s, a retailer of sporting goods, and Exit 4 Food Hall opened in February, has nine different foods stations, and has become a popular destination for foodies.

Siegel Bros. might want to consider the use of a poster printing company to create Posters promoting its new store and its many offerings.
