Mt. Kisco American legion to hold events for the public

The American Legion of Mt. Kisco will be hosting several events next month.

The annual ceremony of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day will be held at the Moses Taylor Jr American Legion Post 136 on Friday, December 7 at 5:30 pm. The public is invited to attend and membership in the organization is not required.

The following day there will be a pancake breakfast. The menu includes eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, hash browns, and toast. Beverages served will be mimosas, orange juice, tea, and coffee. The cost is $5 for children and $10 for adults. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. The breakfast begins at 10:00 a.m. and will run until 1:00 pm. The public is invited to attend and bring their appetites.

Another tasty offering of the American Legion is its monthly year-round spaghetti dinner. On the menu is salad, bread, an assortment of pastas and sauces with sausage and meatballs, and dessert. The cost is $10 per person and the proceeds of this event go towards supporting the Post.

This dinner will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 4. The event is opened to the public. Volunteers are also needed for the serving line, in the kitchen, and on cleanup duty. Poster printing is often used to promote such events throughout a community.
