The Mt. Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry will be hosting an evening with Oz Pearlman, a mentalist, next month. Pearlman is a leading global mentalist, and was a third-place winner in America’s Got Talent in 2015.
As a member of the Pantry’s board, Laura Desmarais said this event is a way to not only raise much needed funds for the Pantry but to highlight awareness about Hunger Action Month in September. In addition, she said, the venue is ideal being in the center of the area served by the Pantry. Desmarais added that while many of the people served by the Pantry live in Mt. Kisco, the Pantry serves those in close to 20 communities, including Armonk, Bedford, and down to Tarrytown.
The Food Pantry operates out of the United Methodist Church in Mt. Kisco and has been distributing food to about 440 families in the area in recent months. This event will serve as a fundraiser for the organization. Poster printing is often displayed throughout a community and neighboring towns to help promote such events.
Bedford Playhouse will host the show on Thursday September 30. Tickets for the performance are $75 and $125 for VIP tickets which include a meet and greet with Pearlman at 6:30 p.m. The show will begin at 8:00 p.m.
