Holiday happenings to be held by Mt. Kisco library

The Mt. Kisco Public Library will be hosting several holiday events this month.

There will be two sessions of Home for the Holidays. The first one will be Holiday Cookie Baking with Chef Rob. This will feature making some new recipes for the holiday season that the entire family can create together, including bakery-style sugar cookies, chocolate raisin walnut cookies, and holiday cocoa oatmeal cookies. This event is open to those of all ages and will take place on Saturday, December 12 beginning at noon.

The second session will be Cooking with Rinku and will feature small bites and pick-me-ups. It will be on Saturday, December 19 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Both events are sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Such festive events and activities often turn to flyer printing to promote themselves.

The Mt. Kisco Library Board of Trustees will be sponsoring a Winter Wonderland Music, Bubble and Comedy Show. Featuring turtle dance music, the show is designed to engage children with stories, big giant bubbles, movement activities, interactive music technology, and winter songs. It will be a show that can be enjoyed by all children, including those on the autism spectrum, and will help them have fun and learn at the same time. This show will be held this Saturday, December 5, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.
