Highest marks earned by hospital in Mt. Kisco

Northern Westchester Hospital in Mt. Kisco has earned a top ‘A’ safety rating from a report from the Leapfrog Group.

This rating demonstrates the commitment of the hospital to achievements and safety in promoting the best outcomes for its patients. Announcements of such recognitions are often made known throughout the region with banner printing.

The Leapfrog Group is a nationwide non-profit organization that assigns a grade of A, B, C, D or F to close to 3,000 acute care hospitals. Using 30 patient safety performance measures, a report is issued by the group twice a year.

Derek Anderson, Executive Director at Northern Westchester Hospital, said that his team proudly caters the community’s health and safety needs. He added that it is an honor to be recognized by an organization that drives the hospital to improve its safety and quality for community care. He said that the team of physicians and staff who practice at the hospital deserve all the credit and they should be congratulated for the expertise and dedication they have shown.

Senior vice president, chief quality officer, and associate chief medical officer at Northwell Health, Dr. Peter Silver, said this report shows how the hospitals of Northwest Health, of which Northern Westchester is a member, continue to provide the safest and highest-quality care to its patients.
