Grocery store to move to Mt. Kisco

ShopRite is planning a move from Bedford Hills to The Park owned by Diamond Properties in Mt. Kisco.

The Park, which is 38 acres in size, is also home to Saw Mill Club East, Grand Prix New York (which features virtual-reality games and go-kart racing) and other businesses.

Banner printing can be used at such sites so that residents become aware of such projects and their timelines for completion.

The new store will be over 85,000 square feet in size and require many changes to the surrounding landscape, including the planting of trees, retaining walls, an expansion of the parking lot, and driveway realignments. Variances, changes to the property line, and easements are also needed.

Other changes will need to be made by adjacent businesses that Diamond Properties leases or owns to accommodate the new ShopRite. A building which houses ET Audio/Video, Seraphic Nails, and Subway will lose about one-third of an acre to ShopRite; driveways will be modified; and some parking spaces will be removed.

The loss of these spaces will be accounted for as a building on the other side of the proposed ShopRite which now is the home to Mt. Kisco Automotive Center has lost a tenant, so the empty space will be demolished and converted to parking.

Traffic studies of the area are scheduled to begin in the weeks ahead.
