Grand opening held for Taverna Pandesia in Mt. Kisco

Last Thursday, July 11, a new Mt. Kisco restaurant held its grand opening, which many local business representatives and politicians attended. No doubt flyer printing and poster printing were used to announce the ribbon-cutting of Greek diner Taverna Pandesia to the local community so that as many people as possible would be in attendance.

The restaurant is co-owned by three people who already own a diner on Long Island and represents their first enterprise in Westchester County. The location of the restaurant is the former home of Wine Junction. There is dining space and a bar, and the front of the building has been set back from the street so as to allow for outdoor dining.

According to Michael Cindrich, Mayor of Mt. Kisco, the restaurant is important to the area and shows the devotion of the owners to the community. Peter Harckham, County Legistor, added that Taverna Pandesia will benefit the community financially from the revenue of sales taxes and enable people to spend locally rather than going to other locations for a night out for dining.

State Assemblyman David Buchwald said that the restaurant will enable people of Mt. Kisco and towns that neighbor it to have a new culinary experience. He has eaten in the restaurant and highly recommends it.

The president of the Mt. Kisco Chamber of Commerce, Kevin Kane, welcomed the restaurant to the community and, along with the Mayor, wished the restaurant the best of luck and success in its endeavors.
