Golfing event to support leukemia society

The Champions 4 Cures Golf Outing will be held this month at the Mt. Kisco Country Club.

This is the second consecutive year for the outing which benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). It is sponsored by the 2021 LLS Man and Woman of the Year Leadership Committee, Empowered Mastery, and Healy Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge.

Arrival and registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. on the day of the outing, with the shotgun start at 11:00 am. There will be a barbeque lunch and refreshments on the golf course and an open bar for two and a half hours after golfing ends, with plated cocktails served.

Registration for the event includes golf carts and greens fee; assistance from the golf staff; locker rooms with an attendant; and one caddy per foursome. All proceeds raised from the event will go towards the efforts of the LLS to improve the quality of life of patients suffering from myeloma, Hodgkin’s disease, and leukemia, and their families. Such events often turn to poster printing to raise awareness of such organizations and their fundraising efforts.

The costs for the event ranges for $500 for an individual golfer, to $2,000 for a group of four. Those who do not play golf or are unable to attend are also encouraged to make a generous donation.

The Champions 4 Cures Golf Outing will take place on Monday, May 10.
