The “Take a Bite out of Hunger” event will be held later this month.
This is anticipated to be an event filled with songs, suds, and sliders, featuring award-winning beverages and food at the Captain Lawrence Barrel House. The dynamic Four26Band will be providing the music and entertainment for guests to enjoy. This is a major fundraising event hosted by the Mt. Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry.
Executive Director of the Pantry, Trina Ward Fontaine, expressed her excitement about toasting the efforts of the donors, staff, and volunteers of the Pantry who have made it possible to provide enough food to those experiencing food insecurity in the community. She said that because of everyone’s efforts, enough food is provided to ensure 14 meals per week per person. She added that the number of people served has increased to 93,000 visits by people in person, most likely as a result of the events of the past few years, including inflation.
Such special events and their fundraising efforts are often promoted throughout the community with banner printing.
The event will be held on Sunday October 15 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $125 for food and alcoholic beverages and $110 for food and soft drinks. Additional sponsorship ticket prices are available.
