Both locations of the Saw Mill Club in Mt. Kisco have been acquired by the largest fitness club company in the United States. Privately-owned Genesis Health Clubs, based in Wichita, Kansas., has purchased the Saw Mill Club East at the Diamond Properties complex and the Saw Mill Club on Kensico Drive.
News of such acquisitions and their ramifications is often made known throughout a community with poster printing.
The clubs will now be known as Genesis Health Clubs, with Saw Mill Club East being the first location of the company in its portfolio which is expanding. Genesis operates 70 other clubs in Kentucky, Indiana, Iowa, Florida, Nebraska, and Missouri, among others and purchased The Atlantic Club in New Jersey, which was its first entry in the region.
Rodney Steven II, president and owner of Genesis, said that the company has wanted to have a presence in New York for some time. He expressed his excitement about having Saw Mill as part of the Genesis family of clubs as it is a fitness and tennis institution in the health club industry. Saw Mill also offers aquatics programs, group exercise classes, and personal training.
Steven said that members at Saw Mill will see no changes in services but will have the advantage of gaining access to over 60 clubs in 11 states and will see investments being made in the current facilities.
