Federally funded medical center makes appointment to board

The Open Door Family Medical Centers has named Sean Maraynes, a resident of Chappaqua, to its Foundation Board.

Open Door is funded by the federal government and cares for close to 1,000 children and adults in the Hudson Valley Region, regardless of their ability to pay. Among the services offered by Open Door are integrated behavioral health care and wellness services, dental care, and medical care at its offices in Mt. Kisco, Mamaroneck, Brewster, Sleepy Hollow, Port Chester, and Ossining. It recently opened a dental practice in Ossining and has seven school-based health centers in Port Chester and Ossining.

Programs in physical activity, stress reduction, and good nutrition are also offered by Open Door. Brochure printing can be used to provide more detailed information about such programs and services offered throughout an organization.

Maraynes is an attorney with the White Plains law firm of Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker and said that healthcare is an important issue regardless of where one lives. He added that there are many questions about patient treatment, paying for treatments, and keeping patients healthy and that Open Door has been able to address all these issues and excelled at treating patients for many major chronic illnesses.

Maraynes is a defense attorney who handles nonprofit organizations, businesses, and physicians in wrongful death, catastrophic personal injury, and medical malpractice lawsuits.
