Diverse events to be held in Mt. Kisco area

The Chappaqua Library on Greeley Avenue in Chappaqua will be holding several special events next month, and residents of nearby Mt. Kisco may be interested in attending these events.

The first will be an author talk by Bonnie Siegler and Helene Stapinski on their book “The American Way: A True Story of Nazi Escape, Superman, and Marilyn Monroe.” Siegler’s family tells the story that her grandfather Jules was the one who filmed Marilyn Monroe as her white dress flew up around her in 1954. This led her to write the book with Stapinski about the magic of movies, big dreams, fake identities, and what it means to be Superman in real life. This talk will be held on Wednesday March 1 at 7:00 p.m.

A Book and Crafts event that explores Asia, focusing on Vietnam, is one of a series on the topic that will enable children in grades kindergarten and up read “Tết Together” by Alice Trinh. Attendees will create their zodiac, and Vietnamese snacks will be provided. This will be held on Monday March 6 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
