Childrens theatre moves to Mt. Kisco

The Lighthouse Youth Theatre will be moving its studio to Mt. Kisco at the Saw Mill Club.

After nine years at 1 Labriola Court in Armonk, Lighthouse, which offers creative programs for children, will be occupying space in the health and fitness center. The founder and artistic director for Lighthouse, John Fanelli, said that when looking for space to share with another dance, theater, or music company, the Saw Mill Club welcomed Lighthouse to their facility and expressed interest in having such a family-type of business in their building. Fanelli added that the space is superb, with state-of-the-art facilities.

The Saw Mill Club is on Kensico Drive. Lighthouse will also be holding classes once a week at Saw Mill East on North Bedford Road.

Fanelli said that the move will enable the Theatre to partner with The Studio School of Dance, which is owned by Vanessa Gutierrez and also is in the Saw Mill Club. They will share rehearsal and instructional space at the health club and provide young people the opportunity to get interested in either dance or theater. Fanelli added that this partnership will be able to bring a full and local performing arts school in one space. Such partnerships might consider engaging in some sort of joint Logo Design to show how they endeavor to demonstrate a shared vision.

Lighthouse will also continue its arrangement with the Chappaqua Performing Arts Center.
