Bareburger will be moving into the space once occupied for decades by Friendly’s on East Main Street in Mt. Kisco. Friendly’s was closed in 2014, but locals will now have a new eatery to try out.
It has been confirmed by Mayor Michael Cindrich that Bareburger will be filling the space, and the restaurant has received all the approvals it needs from the village.
Construction on the project had seemed to stop, but workers were seen on the site recently. At present, the only reminder of the old Friendly’s restaurant is the sign.
Euripedies Pelekanos and four of his friends founded Bareburger in 2009 as they were looking in New York City for a restaurant that served tasty hamburgers and catered to organic tastes and gluten-free diets. Astoria, Queens was the location of the first restaurant.
A spokesperson for the company, Anthony Roman, said that Bareburger buys all its ingredients from local farms while also endeavoring to purchase the best products from areas of the country that specialize in certain items. Its burgers are made of unusual meats such as duck, wild boar, and bison, and it will also purchase cheese from Wisconsin, elk from Texas, and bison from Montana in order to deliver the best possible ingredients to its guests.
Banner printing companies can be hired to create Banners that can be displayed on the site with more information about the opening of the restaurant.
