Array of electric and hybrid cars displayed at car show

The Park, a retail complex in Mt. Kisco, was recently the site of a special car show of electric and hybrid vehicles, the first of its kind in New York State according to Mary-Beth Kass, a co-founder of Bedford 2020 who was the primary backer and supporter of the car show.

No doubt flyer printing and poster printing were used to attract as many owners, car dealerships, and municipalities in the area to bring their electric and hybrid vehicles to the show.

Among the models at the show were iterations of the Toyota Prius, Teslas, and an electric truck. There were additional exhibits on the use of solar energy and other sustainable resources.

Several groups and organizations were involved in the car show. Local governments from Bedford, Westchester County and White Plains had their vehicles on display, while the town of Bedford showed its two Nissan Leafs used for parking enforcement. Mark Thielking of Energy New York, a group that focuses on energy efficiency for the home, commented that by using these vehicles, the town no longer needs expensive gas refill trips.

The owner of the landlord of the complex, Jim Diamond, explained the efforts his company is making towards energy efficiency. There is one charging station in front of one of the tenants of the complex and he has plans for other complexes that he owns to install additional charging stations. With a green ethos at its heart, the complex is already powered by solar energy.
