The Long Island Picture Frame & Art Gallery will be organizing a meet and greet with ex-professional hockey player Mike Richter this December in Massapequa Park.
Those interested in seeing Richter can attend an event that offers several activities for guests. There will be an interactive Q&A during the evening hosted by Lawrence Davis and a photo op with a professional photographer. Each picture will be signed by Richter. The gathering will also include door prizes, passed appetizers, and a live and silent auction to benefit a charitable organization. Richter is best known as the goalie who helped the New York Rangers win the Stanley Cup in 1994. He was also the MVP (most valuable player) during the final of the 1996 World Cup of Hockey when the United States defeated Canada. He originally played for the University of Wisconsin-Madison before being drafted by the New York Rangers. His number was retired on February 4, 2004 and he was later inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.
The event will occur on Thursday, December 3 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Each ticket will cost people $299 each. Every guest who attends the gathering will be given a $50 gift certificate for custom framing. An open bar will also be featured during the event.
