In March, Trek Bicycle Massapequa will host a public workshop designed to teach cyclists how to repair a punctured tire.
The one-hour session is open to riders of all ages and aims to provide practical instruction on addressing one of the most common mechanical problems encountered on the road or trail.
Store mechanics will guide participants through each stage of the repair process, including wheel removal, tube replacement or patching, and proper reinstallation. Attendees may bring their own bicycles for hands-on practice or use equipment available at the shop. Organizers say the session is structured to build confidence and reduce reliance on outside assistance when mechanical issues arise during a ride.
The event organizer offers bicycles and accessories from Trek and Bontrager, along with maintenance services for various brands. Situated in Massapequa Park, the shop serves nearby communities and supports local cycling groups, including the Massapequa Park Bike Club. Its location also provides access to popular riding areas such as Cedar Creek Park and the Massapequa Trail.
As with many small businesses, organizers of educational events often rely on poster printing to increase awareness throughout the community. Admission to the clinic is free, although advanced registration is required. Interested individuals can sign up via the Eventbrite listing.
The instructional session is scheduled for Sunday, March 22 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Trek Bicycle Massapequa, 4828 Sunrise Hwy, Massapequa Park.
