Annual festival to return to Massapequa Park

The Massapequa Park Street Fair will return this fall, offering a six-hour mix of shopping, food, children's attractions, and live entertainment.

The gathering is open to the public. More than 150 makers and merchants are expected to participate in the craft and vendor market. Shoppers will be able to browse wooden housewares, jewelry, decorated Apparel, hair accessories, crocheted goods, baked treats, pickles, pretzels, freeze-dried candy, and other gift items ahead of the holiday season.

Food service will include about a dozen Long Island mobile vendors. Announced participants include Extreme Empanadas, First Class Concessions, The Cone Depot, Franky's Famous Sausage & Peppers, Tlaxcalita Aguas Frescas, Say Dipped, and Shrimpy's Burrito Bar, with additional vendors expected.

Children's activities will occupy a 15,000-square-foot zone presented by New York Partyworks. The zone will feature inflatable slides, bounce attractions, obstacle courses, and a 30-foot climbing wall. Entertainment will also include live music in three areas, a village stilt walker known as Greg, face painting, and raffles.

Organizers commonly use flyer printing to promote neighborhood festivals, vendor markets, and other public gatherings such as this one.

Businesses interested in participating as vendors can find registration information through the organizer’s listing.

The fair is scheduled for Sunday, October 4 from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm at Downtown Park Boulevard, 1001 Park Blvd., Massapequa Park. The alternate weather date is the following Sunday, October 11.
