Runners and walkers will gather in Massapequa Park this November for the annual Turkey Trot.

This Thanksgiving-season event will include a 5K, youth race, stroller category, and virtual participation option. The program is designed for both competitive runners and families looking for a seasonal community activity.

The main 5K begins at 9:00 AM, while younger participants can take part in a three-quarter-mile fun run around the lake beginning at 8:30 AM. A separate stroller division is also available. Every participant must complete check-in before starting the race.

Current registration for the individual 5K and stroller category is $32.50 each, including a $2.50 fee. The youth run costs $17.50, including the same fee, while virtual 5K registration is $27.50. Prices for the in-person divisions increase after October 30. Same-day registration will be offered during bib pickup for an extra $5. An event shirt cannot be guaranteed to anyone registering after November 14.

Advance bib and shirt pickup will be held on the eve of the event from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm at YES Community Counseling Center, 74 Grand Ave in Massapequa. Race day pickup will take place at Brady Park from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM.

Organizers of seasonal races often use poster printing to promote course details, registration deadlines, and family activities.

The Massapequa Park Turkey Trot is scheduled for Saturday, November 21 with packet pickup starting at 7:00 am at Brady Park, 1000 Lake Shore Drive.
