Massapequa Park hosts four-legged fundraiser

The ‘Canine Companions DogFest Long Island 2024!’ event will be taking place in Massapequa Park this September, organized by Eukanuba.

This event, which began in 1975, will celebrate the bond between humans and canines, as well as the contribution of dogs to humans with disabilities. It will also serve as a fundraiser. Event activities will include music, dog demonstrations, games, and speaking sessions.

Only dogs over four months of age are allowed at the event. All attending dogs must have completed the necessary vaccinations before attending the event. Female dogs that are in heat are prohibited. Attendees should be comfortable at social gatherings. Dog owners are required to keep their pets on a leash of no more than six feet long.

This fundraising event is a mission to raise service dogs for 400 people looking forward to having canine companions.

All are free to attend this event and can register through the event listing. The event also offers several ways for individuals to make contributions or get involved, which include volunteering, becoming a vendor, donating, and becoming a sponsor.

As organizers prepare for an event like this one, they may use flyer printing to advertise it.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, September 21 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The location will be Marjorie R. Post Community Park, 451 Unqua Road, Massapequa Park.
