Massapequa Park will be organizing a fundraising activity in September to benefit the Canine Companions organization.
DogFest Long Island-NYC invites dogs and their families to come together and raise money for a good cause. The event will include a group walk, costume contest, and silent auction. The organizers hope to raise $65,000 for their cause by September 24. So far, people have already contributed more than $30,000 to the fundraiser. Those who take part in the fundraiser may earn prizes like portable cornhole sets, picnic baskets, and commemorative Apparel.
Vendors interested in attending the program can pay for a 10' x 10' booth space. The cost for non-profit organizations will be $75, while for-profit businesses must pay $100 instead. Companies may also become sponsors for DogFest by purchasing packages ranging from $250 to over $15,000. The sponsorship deals help Canine Companions pay for puppy raiser workshops, vet care, leashes, assistance dog Vests, and treat Bags.
The festival will be held on September 24 from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm at Marjorie R. Post Community Park. People can get involved with DogFest by joining a team or donating directly to the group. Guests may also volunteer to help with tasks like running activity booths and checking in attendees. Event organizers for fundraisers such as this may use Print shops to make special tees for their volunteers.
