Massapequa and Massapequa Park will be holding its first Restaurant Week this month, with more than 14 restaurants serving local unique dinner options during the seven-day period.
Some of the offerings will be special coupons while others may have a prix fix menu for $25 that includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. Each participating restaurant will also have gift certificate giveaways that will be raffled off through social media.
Two mothers who live in the community, Jennifer Nevadomski and Tina Villalobos, started the idea with the goal to provide the community with a night out at a reasonable price, while publicizing the many restaurants in the two towns in the process. It is hoped that people will come out at least one night to support local restaurants.
Villalobos is the publisher of a free local event calendar and online newsletter, while Nevadomski writes a blog for local families.
A sampling of the participating restaurants includes Maggie’s On Park, Sergio’s Italian Restaurant, Crostini, and Smuggler Jacks. No doubt these restaurants and others are turning to various printing services to inform the community of restaurant week and the Menus and special meals they will be offering.
