Huntington residents preparing to kick their holiday decor into high gear are in luck, as a card creation course is in the works.
The Winter Holiday Card in Fearless Watercolors, hosted by artist Jan Guarino, will be held in the coming weeks. It will provide a learning environment for interested parties of all skill levels to learn the steps to create fun and colorful Holiday Cards. Guarino will provide step-by-step guidance to participants who want to learn to paint snowy tree scenes and other winter masterpieces.
Attendees will learn to let the watercolors and paper do the work to bring the scene to life. Interested parties with a painting background can bring their painting supplies from home, while other parties can pay an additional $15 for a painting kit provided by Guarino at the workshop. Printing services are an excellent resource for creating Copies of the finished cards created at such events.
In addition to the card and learning experience, guests will receive a gift card to The Nest for 10% off one item priced at $100 or higher. Registered guests are encouraged to arrive early to prepare for their workshop.
The Nest on Main will host the creative outlet on Monday, November 4, with the doors opening at 5:30 PM. General admission tickets are on sale now for $55.20 per attendee.
