Boating safety course to help Huntington prepare for summer

Summer is around the corner on Long Island, and Huntington residents who wish to enjoy time on the water will have a chance to sharpen their boating skills in preparation.

The New York State Boating Safety Class, which is being presented by MarineMax Huntington, is coming to town this June to ensure that boat owners and operators are up-to-date on their knowledge and safety. The refresher will be held over eight hours, providing each attendee with a copy of the Boat America textbook.

Attendees will gain the knowledge necessary to hit the water with confidence, ensuring a safe experience for friends, families, and others enjoying recreational opportunities. Printing services can provide other high-quality printed learning materials for such courses to supplement the learning process.

Upon completing the eight-hour course, students will receive their printed certification. Interested individuals are required to enroll for the course in advance, with online enrollment open for convenience. Space in the course is limited, and seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Enrollees will also receive a complimentary lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

MarineMax Huntington, located on West Shore Road in town, will host the educational course, which is set for Saturday, June 6, starting at 9:00 AM. Enrollment is open online, costing $40 for MarineMax customers and $55 for non-customers.
