Huntington residents who wish to learn more about plant-based food preparation and cooking are in for a treat this summer, as a cooking class has opened online enrollment.
Cooking with Christina at Dr. Dawn’s Plant-Based Kitchen is opening its doors to Huntington residents and visitors who wish to add some new plant-based meals to their recipe Books while enjoying a positive, fun learning environment. Participants will learn how to make nutrient-dense, vegan meals from scratch, with these meals also providing a safe dining experience for those who are dairy- and gluten-free.
The class will be led by Chef Christina, and the primary dish students will learn to make will be Zucchini Pesto Lasagna. It will be held in-person, providing an immersive and hands-on learning experience that promotes wellness and health. Organizers can use printing services to design and provide high-quality instructional documents, including ingredient lists and cooking steps.
Students will learn more about cooking for an anti-inflammatory diet using ingredients that are full of antioxidants. The class is open to experienced culinary experts and beginners alike, and it will double as an opportunity to learn more about the benefits of a plant-based diet.
Wellness Matters, located in Huntington, will host the cooking class. It starts at 6:00 PM on Friday, June 26th. Enrollment costs $55.20 per student online.
