The Beatles were perhaps the most influential pop group in musical history. Now, their music lives again, as the Fab Faux are on the way to Huntington.
The name of the group is a play on the popular term for the Beatles—the “Fab Four.” This Fab Faux is actually five, all of them professional musicians from New York City.
Will Lee, who has played with all four of the original Beatles, created the group in 1998. He wanted to establish a tribute band for the Beatles that focused on the music, rather than the props, so the musicians do not wear wigs, speak with English accents, or dress in 1960s fashions. The rest of the lineup is Jack Petruzzelli, Frank Agnello, Rich Pagano, and Jimmy Vivino. Among them, the four have worked with artists such as Roger Waters, Phoebe Snow, and Rosanne Cash.
At the concert, the group will perform three Beatles albums: “Please, Please Me,” “A Hard Day's Night,” and “Meet the Beatles,” in their entirety. In his description of the group, critic Dave Marsh says:
“The Fab Faux have the hardest job in the history of R & R and they pull it off damn well. All rock bands want to be like the Beatles; these guys have the nerve to BE the Beatles.”
The concert is, at the time of writing, scheduled for April 25 at 8:00 am at the Paramount, with doors opening at 6:30 pm. Poster printing can provide suitable advertisements for events like this.
