Spring crafts fair returns to Long Island

Preferred Promotions, Ltd. will be hosting the Spring Art and Craft Festival in just under a week’s time.

The event will take place at Deepwell's Farm, an estate area in St. James, New York with a mansion dating back to 1845. Guests will have the opportunity to buy unique handcrafted goods from hundreds of artisans and vendors who will be on hand to sell their wares. There will be food vendors, live music, and entertaining activities for children to participate in as well.

According to the organization’s website, craft fair veterans Don and Rachel Frislid founded Preferred Promotions in 1996. They had settled down to start a family in the years preceding that, but they missed their life on the road and the craft fairs they attended, so they decided to start hosting their own.

Promoters for this event might turn to printing companies to help with the advertising. Handing out Flyers in St. James or nearby towns like Smithtown or Huntington is one way to generate more interest in the festival, as is hanging Posters in the malls or other gathering spots of these towns.

The festival will run from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday, May 17, and 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday, May 18. There is a $5 general admission fee, but any children under the age of 12 can enter for free.
