Spanish language students to attend camp

A Spanish Language Boot Camp for spoken foreign language instruction, will be held in Melville next month.

Intermediate and advanced Spanish literacy students, from throughout the Melville area may attend, including the neighboring cities of Huntington, Westbury, Farmingdale and Brentwood.

Designed as a way to improve conversational Spanish language skills, the four-hour training session will be held completely in Spanish. Students must be prepared to speak to the instructor entirely in Spanish to participate. The class will include interactive activities, like word games, designed to inspire conversation amongst the students. Practical conversation topics will also be covered, including common jokes, and several short videos will be shown.

The class will be held by JP Language Institute in Melville. The institute was started in 2012, and has been certified by the city of New York, as well as by the Federal government. Individual and group foreign language classes are offered for all skill levels, including American English, German, Russian, Arabic, French, Chinese, Japanese, German and Korean, as well as Spanish. Organizations like these often use professional Print shops to create instructional materials used during their classes.

The Spanish Language Boot Camp will be held on Saturday July 31st from 12:00-4:00 PM. The language institute is located at 200 Broadhollow Road, suite 207. The tuition costs $150.00 for the day, which includes a complimentary lunch for all students. Registration in advance on the Eventbrite website is required.
