Lovers of Irish music will want to be ready for an afternoon of fun and Irish music coming to the Dix Hills Performing Arts Center in Dix Hills, New York.
Ed Ryan, a performer known for his singing, songwriting, comedy, and renditions of traditional Irish music, will be bringing his talents to the stage in his native Long Island.
Ryan began his career in the early '90s. His band Ed Ryan and The Underdogs toured with the teen pop sensation Debbie Gibson. He was then part of the band Wide Awake, which garnered critical acclaim in the local Long Island scene, winning the first place prize at the Long Island Music Festival in 1994. He was then in an acoustic band called Rhino Caravan. Both of these bands released two albums before disbanding.
In more recent years, Ryan has been known for his comedy work, and he was able to headline shows and open shows for celebrities like Ray Romano. He also began performing more well-known Irish songs like ‘Danny Boy’ and his popular sing-along hit ‘The Drinking Song’.
Promoters for this show may want printing companies to create Flyers or Posters that they can distribute in nearby areas, like Huntington, to draw in attendees. Fans of comedy and Irish music will certainly be a demographic to target.
Tomorrow afternoon, October 5, Ryan's show kicks off at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $30 or $25 depending on seating.
