Aspiring makeup artists in Huntington can attend a certification course in May taught by Joann Daly.
The New York Institute for Permanent Makeup will be presenting a class at the Hilton Long Island/Huntington where students can get certified. The instructor will cover several topics, like the history of tattooing, infection control, and setting up workstations. Attendees will even get to see microblading performed on a live model. All students are expected to wear professional all-black attire and keep their hair away from their faces during the course.
Daly is the founder of the New York Institute for Permanent Makeup and Little Lash Boutique, Inc. She has attended many schools, such as Eye Design New York, the New York Institute of Beauty, and the International School of Permanent Makeup. Daly is also a certified trainer for the American Academy for Micropigmentation and is part of the Babylon Village Arts Council. The training course will be held from Sunday, May 22 to Saturday, May 28 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. A single day in the class will cost people $1,500, and participating in the entire course will cost $5,000. A Body Art Certificate issued by the Suffolk County Department of Health is required for all students who pay for the Silver, Gold, and Platinum packages.
