Huntington lounge to host storytelling show

The Industry Lounge & Gallery in Huntington will be holding a show in May about entertaining family stories.

Every Family’s Got One is a live performance where audience members can listen to fun stories told by experienced storytellers. The event is hosted by Barbara Herel, who is the founder and producer of the show. Herel has written for several famous networks, including Nickelodeon and Comedy Central. She also has contributed to publications such as Scary Mommy, Realty Moms, and Motherly. Herel even trained and performed with Gotham City Improv.

The Show Every Family’s Got One began in 2017 and was co-founded by Herel’s husband, Tony Mennuto. The performances are typically held throughout New York City and Long Island. Herel and Mennuto also produce a podcast where they also share funny family stories. Companies interested in supporting Herel’s work can become a sponsor for benefits like social media shoutouts. People may share their stories on the show’s website to be shared via a blog post, podcast episode, or live show.

The performance will take place on Sunday, May 7 at 3:00 pm. Doors to the venue will open at 2:30 pm. Tickets can be purchased for $45. Only mature audiences will be allowed at the performance. Those who host shows similar to this may use banner printing to promote their programs to more potential audience members.
