The B.J. Spoke Gallery in Huntington will be hosting a new art exhibit throughout April that features the works of a talented watercolor artist.
Dancing with Water and Color is an art exhibition that will showcase the works of Steven Vando, a painter from New York City who started creating and selling original watercolor art in 2016. His creations are based on nature and blend impressionism, semi-representational, and abstract painting. Vando is also a member of several arts organizations, including the Art League of Long Island, Huntington Arts Council, and the Suburban Art League.
The B.J. Spoke Gallery was founded in 1975 and was originally located in Port Washington, New York. The organization is member-owned and hosts events like individual exhibitions, juried art competitions, and informative lectures. Katherine Criss is the president of the gallery, and Minoo Moadel is the group’s vice president. Those who become members of the B.J. Spoke Gallery must manage the venue once a month and exhibit their work in 12 shows each year.
Vando’s exhibition will be held from April 5th to April 30th and can be visited from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. There will also be an opening reception for Dancing with Water and Color held on Saturday, April 8th from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The exhibition is free to view. Galleries that have events similar to this may use flyer printing to share their exhibitions with the community.
