Huntington charity plans comedy night

A Huntington charity is planning a comedy event to raise money while people have some fun.

The Townwide Fund of Huntington (TWF) was formed in 1961 by a group of residents of Huntington. They banded together to help others, by raising funds to help local charities. Since that beginning, TWF has raised over $12m for local service organizations. At present, over 30 local charities are paired up with the Fund.

At the upcoming Comedy Night, attendees can purchase sponsorships in a variety of price ranges. A ‘Laugh Out Loud’ group of four seats costs $1,000. People who purchase these seats will be listed in a press release as a Presenting Sponsor, plus they will be recognized from the podium during the event. They will also be listed on the website, and on a poster in the Main Room.

For $500, attendees can buy two seats known as the ‘Punch Line’. They will be listed on the website and on social media, as well as on the poster. Those who purchase a sponsorship for $250, known as ‘Crack Me Up’, will be listed on the website, and on social media. Banner printing can be used to provide decorations for events like this.

Comedy Night is set for September 17, at the John W. Engeman Theatre At Northport, on Main Street in Northport. The event runs from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm, with a pre-show cash bar, nibbles, and opportunity for networking, from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm.
